Perforated (one-way vision) film has tiny holes in a roughly 70/30 print-to-perforation pattern: people outside see your full-colour graphic, people inside see out clearly. One caveat worth knowing: at night the effect reverses when the interior is brighter than the street, so it's daytime privacy, not 24-hour.

Yes, removable — and no damage when done right. Low-tack removable films lift cleanly without residue; static clings are repositionable and residue-free. If a decal's been baking in a south-facing Toronto window for years, we soften it with heat and peel it off. Only cheap, wrong-film decals or razor-blade amateur hour risk damage.

Outdoor window decals typically last 1–5 years depending on material and sun exposure; perforated film with lamination runs about 2 years. South-facing Toronto glass with full afternoon sun shortens life; north-facing windows last longer. Indoor-facing window graphics can last much longer. When they fade, replacement is quick and affordable.

Frosted gives true two-way privacy while keeping the light — ideal for conference rooms, healthcare, and offices. Perforated gives one-way vision plus a full-colour graphic on the outside — ideal for storefronts that want advertising plus staff privacy. Frosted lets through 70–80% of light; perf lets through 25–49%. If you want branding AND privacy facing the street, perforated wins.

Generally no for standard window signs. Per GTA sign-industry guidance, most window signs that aren't electronic and don't exceed 25% of the window area don't require a sign permit (signs above the second storey are a different story). That's why window graphics are one of the fastest, least-bureaucratic ways to brand a Toronto storefront.

Yes — we do inside-mount ("second surface") graphics all the time, printing in reverse so they read correctly from the street. Inside mounting protects the graphic from Toronto winter, road salt splash, and vandalism, and it lasts longer. For double-sided visibility, we can also print both faces.

Small decals, sure — they arrive pre-masked with instructions and go on dry with a squeegee. But for full storefront windows, perforated film, or anything big, professional install is worth it: bubbles and edge lift on a Danforth storefront window will haunt you every time you walk past.
